Indoor Air Quality

Air Quality
Our office receives a number of inquiries regarding air quality issues. Predominant concerns are those involving potential harmful molds within dwelling units. Our office does not test for mold that may affect indoor air quality but we do serve as a resource for evaluation and mitigation of mold contaminated environments.

In addition to molds, we receive inquires involving radon and asbestos issues. We serve as a resource in these areas as well. With the assistance from the American Lung Association, we offer radon test kits upon request, free of charge, for residents of our community. More information on these topics can be accessed from the North Dakota Department of Health website: radon; asbestos; or indoor air. For more information on species of mold you may access the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Radon test kits are available free to the public to test for radon in your home. You may contact our office to receive a free kit. Additional information regarding radon affects on health is available on the EPA website.
